Kapa Haka iMovies by Room 6

Last week we has our Kapa Haka performances. Usually we go to the Showgrounds and perform on the stage for everyone to see.

Because we are still under Covid-19 restrictions we couldn't have an audience and we had to do this at school.

Here are some of our movies we created with photos from the day.

We Are a Green Gold Enviro School

Today in our Cybersmart lesson we were celebrating being a Green Gold Enviro School.

Our job is to look after the compost and empty our scraps into it each day. We all have turns.

We went and took some photos today and created an iMovie to show some of the projects we have done at our school. <Lots of us could do the whole thing without any help from others.

How do you look after the environment?

Her are some of our movies. The creator's name is at the beginning fo their movie.

Celebrating Me!

Today we were using iMovies to create a video to celebrate some of the things we are good at and the things we are proud of this year in Room 6.

We used iMovie. We made titles to start our video. We added a Picture-in-Picture (PiP) video of ourselves to the title. We took photos of your work to add to iMovie.

What are you proud of this year?

Here is some of our work. Their names are in the title of the video.

Being Sunsmart

We are a Sunsmart school!
This term we have to wear our hat outside every time we go out of the classroom.
We all have our own hat.
Our hats protect us from the UV Rays of the Sun.

Today in our Cybersmart lesson we used iMovie on our iPads to create a video about Being Sunsmart.
What do you do at your school to be Sunsmart?
Watch our videos to see what else we do at our school to be Sunsmart.

Sticky Question #2

Last week we started learning about how to comment on blogs. We published our comments. Did you see them all? Some of our whānau commented as well.

This week we are practising again on our own class blog and we are going to answer another sticky question.

We have to be positive, thoughtful and helpful.

We have to write it like a letter and we must remember to add our name so we know who wrote the comment.

Which one would you like to do? And remember to tell us why.
