Blogging Competition Update

Last week we started our blogging competition. Here is an update.

How can we get more people from other countries to visit our blog?

Blogging Competition

Room 5 and Room 6 are having a race to see 

which class blog can register the most visitors 

and 

the biggest number of countries that the visitors come from.

On our class blogs we have a globe which counts the countries 

and a counter to keep track of the page visitors.

We will update the scores each week on the class blogs.

The Holidays

Today we used Explain Everything to create a video about our holidays. 

We learned how to do an image search in Explain Everything and to use dictation for the search terms. Then we inserted text by using dictation as well. We included food we ate, places we went and activities we did. 

 Mrs Torrie called us Explain Everything experts today because we could open and new project and rename it all by ourselves. Then at the end we could save our project to our Cybersmart folder in our Drive. Ka pai!

Patterns

 Today in our Cybersmart lesson we were using Explain Everything again. 

We were learning how to draw shapes, fill with colour and duplicate to make patterns. We duplicated the shape by using the Inspector Tool. That meant we didn't need to draw the shape again and they were exactly the same.

After making our first pattern some of us had a go at creating our own patterns with different colours.

Where are you from? 

We are in a Manaiakalani programme called Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu. 

We have got 2 blogging buddies. 
We take turns at reading each other's blogs and commenting on the posts.

Earthquake Drill

Today we practised what to do when we feel an earthquake. Everyone knew to make a turtle! Kai pai room 6.

Kawa of Care

 Room 6 have been working hard on being Smart Learners and following the Kawa of Care 
when they are using their iPads.

Here is our Kawa of Care so far. We will add to it as we talk about the other things we need to do.
